Good news for non-Shopify Plus merchants. A small change with a big impact.
You can now use the checkout and accounts editor to customize and manage the functionality and appearance of your checkout, thank you and order status pages, and new customer accounts pages in a single place that's separate from your theme editor.
This helps brands show more of themselves and be "less Shopify".
Does this affect Checkout Extensions which is currently only on Plus?"
No - there are standard customizations available on all plans, and can use an editor to make some changes. Shopify merchants still exclusively get to customize the information, shipping, and payments pages (or one page).
You can personalize the look of your checkout by incorporating your brand's logo, choosing a background color or image, and altering the fonts and colors on the checkout, thank you, and order status pages. Many of the branding choices you make for your checkout will also automatically extend to your new customer account pages.
